The weather was perfect in Minneapolis for the partial solar eclipse on October 23. I took eclipse photos through an Orion ShortTube 80 with a Canon PowerShot A710 IS.
Photo taken with a G9 Panasonic camera through a 127mm Maksutov telescope at a magnification of 77x (just holding the camera in from of the eyepiece) - then cropped and enlarged somewhat.
I took this photo of Comet Lovejoy on the night of January 17, 2015, using a Canon PowerShot A710 IS camera attached to an Orion 120mm f/5 refractor with a 25mm eyepiece. The exposure time was 5 seconds and the ISO was set to 200. This is pretty much the way it looked visually when observed through binoculars or a small telescope.
